Irvington Library is a branch of the Alameda County Library, which serves a population of over 523,000 in the cities of Albany, Dublin, Fremont, Newark, Union City, and the unincorporated areas of Castro Valley, and San Lorenzo.
Irvington Library, along with the Centerville, Niles and Fremont Main Library, serves the residents of Fremont. Irvington is a small neighborhood library located across the street from Irvington High School. The 5,760 sq. ft. library has over 37,500 items which include books, magazines and newspapers, videos, CDs, and audiocassettes. Volunteers are welcome.
Partners:
Fremont Library Advisory Commission advises the City Council and the County Librarian on library facilities and services.
Fremont Friends of the Library raise additional funds at Book Sales held three times a year. (Contact the Library Manager for more information.)
Fremont Unified School District , serves students from K-12 and with adult education classes.
Get Involved and assist the library in a number of important areas including: taking books to shut-ins through the Senior Outreach program, Internet docents, library tour guides and more.
