Castro Valley Reads is Back!

What happens when we read the same book together? What can we learn from each other? Join us for Castro Valley Reads 2020 to find out!

Castro Valley Reads celebrates literature and builds community by encouraging everyone to read and discuss the same book together. The 2020 book selection is Bluebird, Bluebirda blues-infused thriller by Attica Locke about the collision of race and justice in America. Join us for the kick-off event on Sunday, January 26 from 2 - 3 pm at the Castro Valley Library.

At the kick-off event you can:

  • Enjoy a performance by the Dewayne Oakley Blues Ensemble
  • Learn more about the book and the Castro Valley Reads program
  • Sign up for a discussion group and get a free copy of the book

If you can’t attend the kick-off event, come to the Castro Valley Library after January 26th to sign up for a discussion group. Free copies of Bluebird, Bluebird are available while supplies last.
