Many schools have temporarily closed due to safety and health precautions of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). These school closures will greatly impact kids who depend on school meals. Data from the California Department of Education shows that 43.9 percent of public school students in Alameda County are eligible for free or reduced priced school meals.
Here’s a map of locations in Alameda County where children under 18 can receive breakfast and lunch during school closures. We hope this map of meal sites for youth is helpful to families in need.
